Sunday October 13th two workshops, from 11 am we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor autumn activities at the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants, with gardening and creative hands on activities.
At 11am and 12am – BULBI IN FESTA | Workshop for kids
Gardening with daffodils, lilies, saffron and other bulbs. Children will plant the bulbs together and take part in preparing the garden’s flowerbeds while parents will have the opportunity to ask experts such as Floriana Bulbose for tips and advice.
4 years onwards
Costs: 8 euro per child (5 with the Carta amici del Parco)
Registration: 15 minutes before the workshop begins
Length: about 45 minutes

At 11am and 12am – C’ERA UNA VOLTA…L’HORTUS | Workshop for kids, by StudioArturo
From the swamp to the edible garden, the story of the beginning of the Hortus Hurbis. A handmade booklet on the garden’s story with drawings children will complete with a simple tool, their own fingers! Every child will take home a personalized book!

Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “ Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 or 50 (near the fountain)
Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
Bus: 118 and 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop) or 30express, 714 and 715 (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
Car: parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
