Saturday, June 20th, from 10 am onwards we are pleased to invite you to the season’s final appointment at the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.

At 10.00 am until 1.00 pm – “ARTE LIBERA NELL’ORTO” | “Incontro di disegno e pittura spontanea”, by Gioia Marchegiani

Let’s dedicate a morning to spontaneous art open to all, kids and grownups. School is over! it’s time to do things freely! Under the trees amid the garden’s flowers, leaves and colors we will paint. No special skills are requested, all you need is the pleasure and curiosity to draw nature.

All the needed materials to draw and paint will be available together with the precious advice and demonstrations of a real illustrator!

  • 5 years onwards

  • Fee: 5 euro per person, materials are included
  • Reservations on the spot
  • Time: from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm as long as you wish
  • Participants: limited according to the availability of the materials

Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “ Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain), Rome

Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.

Bus: 118 and 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop) or 30express, 714 and 715 (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.

Car: parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park
