Sunday, April 3rd, we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor autumn activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.

At 11 am – INSECT HOUSE 2.0 | Workshop for kids  in Italian, by Hortus Urbis & Di Natura

A house for the insects from the useful bees to the nasty wasps, from the terrible bumblebee to the annoying gnats , from the mysterious dipteral to the beautiful butterflies. For all these and other insects we will build a house where they can happily stay. We will collect useful materials in the garden and the park to make their new home comfortable: wood, bamboo, branches, leaves, and hay. Our guests will pay back the hospitality because they will be useful allies for the garden, eating parasites and pollinating our plants.

It will be fun to see the Insect House when busy and populated!
