Sunday, November 6th, we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor autumn activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.

At 11.00 am – “IL TAPPETO DELL’HORTUS” | Workshop for kids in Italian, by SemidiCarta

If we listen to Nature it tells us wonderful stories, where the Acanthus (bear’s breeches) flowers interlace with lavender stems, grain spike with bamboo branches, small gestures with big words, will lead us on a magic green carpet. Let’s build our own loom with our imagination and what the Hortus garden offers us. Children with few simple gestures will make their own carpet of leaves, flowers, sticks and listen to the marvels of Nature’s wispers.

  • Ages 8 to 11
  • Time: about 50 minutes
