Come join the Hortus Urbis’ 5th Birthday on March 19th from 10 am to 1 pm, the educational edible garden in the heart of the beautiful Appia Antica Park. We’ll start the season with brand new flowerbeds, new fruit trees, new fence and much more to be realized all together in Spring.
With “BIMBI IN FESTA” the season’s workshops start and follow every Sunday until June. A workshop on vegetable prints awaits you and readings in the garden too.
To welcome the Spring season there will be the Seed Swap 8th edition!
Hortus Urbis is the first garden based solely on ancient Roman plants surrounded by the woods and the Almone river. What makes it special is also the fact that an abandoned area has been recovered by the local community activating a participatory process for its realization and management with the help of extraordinary volunteers.

If you don’t have seeds you can join the same swapping gardening work at the Hortus!
