Sunday, November 12th we are pleased to invite you to the Autumn outdoor activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely plants of the Roman Age.
At 11.00 am – CHI SEMINA RACCOGLIE | Workshop for kids, by Hortus Urbis
Children will live through the complete cultivation process from planting to harvest, step by step: sowing in pots, transplanting in the seedbed, harvesting. Every little gardener who joined the care of the garden will be awarded with freshly plucked veggies of the Hortus Urbis!

It is strongly recommended to sign up with an advanced payment on line (8 euro per child or 6 euro with Carta amici del Parco) sending an email to hortus.zappataromana@gmail.com. Be sure to mention the preferred hour and send the email by 12 am of Friday November 10th. You will receive payment instructions. It is possible to sign up on the spot only for the remaining availability, without reservation, 10 euro per child payment on site (8 euro per child with Carta amici del Parco).
The cost of the workshop is comprehensive of a jar of honey of the Azienda Agricola Mammalù.

Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “ Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)
Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
Bus: 118 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop) or 30express, 2018, 714 and 715 (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
Car: parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
