Sunday, April 22nd, we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor Spring activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.
At 10 am “LE API AMICHE DEI BAMBINI” (Ages 0 to 3), in Italian, by Emanuela Marchini and Juri Eugeni – Azienda Agricola Mamma Lù
The pedagogical – educational objective is to approach little children to the fascinating world of bees and honey production and present in a playful way the animal world and inspire perceptive, manipulative and descriptive abilities towards nature.

At 10 am and at 11am BEES &GARDEN FRIENDS in English, by Hortus Urbis
We will make a small garden for bees, for butterflies or for ladybugs to take away with you. Hands on workshop dedicated to the little gardeners & friends. Everyone can choose which garden to do for one of the insect friends of the garden. You will have all you need: seeds, pots and markers to remember.

It is strongly recommended to sign up with an advanced payment on line. Every workshop costs 10 euro per child or 8 euro with Carta amici del Parco, except for the readings. To sign up send an email to hortus.zappataromana@gmail.com. Be sure to send the email by 12 am of Friday April 20th. You will receive payment instructions. It is possible to sign up on the spot only for the remaining availability 10 euro per child payment on site.

Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “ Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)
Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
Bus: 118 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop) or 30express, 2018, 714 and 715 (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
Car: parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
