Saturday, May 20th, we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor Spring activities of the Hortus Urbis, the edible garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.
In occasion of the World Bee Day and the European Park Week dedicated to biodiversity, from 10 am to 6 pm: information booths, workshops, animations and tastings to discover pollinating insects essential to human life on Earth.
At 11.00 am – “UN (mini) GIARDINO PER LE API” (Ages 3 to 10) | Workshop for kids, by Hortus Urbis.
A workshop to get your hands dirty by creating a (mini) garden for bees with their favorite flowers. A garden to take away with you at the end of the workshop to continue experimenting and helping the bees.

It is possible to register on site or pre-register by sending an email to hortus.zappataromana@gmail.com. The workshop is free because it is part of the activities of the “di Arnia in Arnia” event organized by the Appia Antica Regional Park. We recommend booking for the limited places. Donations are welcome.

HOW TO REACH US
Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)
Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
Bus: 118 or 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop); 30express, 714 and 715 on the via Cristoforo Colombo (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
Car: On Sundays parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park. On every other day parking at via Appia Antica 50.
