Saturday November 9th, we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor activities of the Hortus Urbis, the edible garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.
From 15.00 – “SEED BOMBS” – Workshop for small gardeners by Hortus Urbis.
You will discover the magic of seeds, the shapes, the colors, the sizes, the smells. You will receive some seeds as a gift and everything you need to protect them from predators and drought, mixing them with soil and clay until you get little balls.
Each child will take home at the end of the workshop something to sow and throw, helping to make the city, the street of your house and your garden more beautiful … SEED BOMBS!

To sign up to the workshop is mandatory to send an email to hortus.zappataromana@gmail.com, by 12.00 am Friday November 8th. In the email, please indicate name of the child and the adults that will accompany with a telephone number. Your reservation is valid after you’ve received an email with the payment instructions. The workshop costs 10 euros per child.

HOW TO REACH US
Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)
Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
Bus: 118 or 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop); 30express, 714 and 715 on the via Cristoforo Colombo (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
Car: On Sundays parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park. On every other day parking at via Appia Antica 50.
